Hi, I'm Kristin Wells, but most people call me Kwellski, the AOL username I claimed over 20 years ago. What can I say? An enduring brand is key.
My design philosophy is straightforward: visuals are a byproduct, not the foundation. Great design creates seamless, intuitive experiences, especially for those feeling overwhelmed and underwater (that’s me). That clarity comes from systems thoughtfully designed to anticipate needs before they arise. Visuals then amplify that foundation, making the experience feel (and look) effortless.

I’m at my best when I can protect others from the obstacles I’ve already faced. A lifelong visual learner, I simplify complex, abstract concepts into clear, actionable visuals, helping teams and individuals grasp difficult ideas and avoid common pitfalls. I thrive when identifying potential breakdowns before they happen and crafting frameworks that keep teams aligned and efficient.

Visually, I love the challenge of slipping into a new brand’s personality, adapting to their unique voice and values. I immerse myself in their identity, elevating it through my core principles while honoring what makes them distinct. This balance creates work that’s authentic, impactful, and versatile.

My passions include travel, dabbling in language, Columbo reruns, exploring art museums, having great hair, and 1970's Al Pacino.
